Texas High School Football - Akins defeats Hays

In Thursday's league match, the visiting Akins Eagles football squad scored a good 44-27 victory over the Hays Hawks.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Austin Maroons (Austin, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 26 match, on Thursday, September 30. Akins will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Maroons enter the match with a 2-2 record after their 59-0 league loss to Bowie (Austin, TX).

The Hawks (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Lake Travis (Austin, TX). The Cavaliers enter the 6A Region IV District 26 match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Lake Travis ran past San Marcos (San Marcos, TX), 45-6, in a league match.
