The Smiths Station Panthers football team (Smiths, AL), was beaten 46-28 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Benjamin Russell Wildcats (Alexander City, AL)

The Wildcats (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Chilton County (Clanton, AL). The Tigers come into the 6A Region 3 challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Chilton County achieved victory over Tallassee (Tallassee, AL), 24-21, in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Opelika for a 7A Region 2 challenge on Friday, October 7.
