In Friday's non-league match, the host Cedar Shoals Jaguars football squad scored a good 49-21 victory over the East Hall Vikings.

In their next game, the Jaguars clash with the Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) in a AAAA Region 8A match, on Friday, September 30. Cedar Shoals will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Bears enter the match with a 2-3 record after their 14-12 league loss to North Hall (Gainesville, GA).
