Kentucky High School Football - Washington County overwhelms Eminence
September 23, 2022: Eminence, KY 40019 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Washington County Commanders (Springfield, KY) and the host Eminence Warriors (Eminence, KY), observed Washington County's football squad bounce Eminence by a count of 49-13.
The Commanders now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Lexington Christian for a 2A District 4 contest on Friday, September 30. Washington County will play a Eagles squad coming off a 60-21 non-league loss to Pikeville (Pikeville, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 2-4.
Coming up next, the Warriors play the Frankfort Panthers (Frankfort, KY) in a 1A District 3 contest, on Friday, October 7. Eminence will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 3-3 record after their 42-28 non-league loss to Nicholas County (Carlisle, KY).
