Avon Falcons (Avon, CT) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Ridgefield Tigers (Ridgefield, CT), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Falcons confront the Glastonbury Guardians (Glastonbury, CT) in a Central Connecticut - Central challenge, on Tuesday, September 27. Avon will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record.

The Tigers now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ludlowe for a Fairfield County challenge on Friday, September 30.
