Wisconsin High School Soccer - Verona knocks off St. Catherine's
September 23, 2022: Racine, WI 53403 Verona Wildcats (Verona, WI) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the host St. Catherine's Angels (Racine, WI), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats face the Middleton Cardinals (Middleton, WI) in a Big Eight challenge, on Wednesday, September 28. Verona will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Sauk Prairie (Prairie du Sac, WI).
The Angels now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Martin Luther for a Midwest Classic - South challenge on Wednesday, September 28. St. Catherine's will face a Spartans team coming off a 7-0 league loss to St. Joseph (Kenosha, WI). The Spartans record now stands at 2-8.
