September 23, 2023: Liverpool, NY 13090 The crowd at Saturday's non-league test between the Liverpool Warriors (Liverpool, NY) and the visiting Athens Wildcats (Athens, PA), saw Liverpool's soccer squad beat Athens by a margin of 4-0.
The Warriors now sport a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Troy for a non-league test on Sunday, September 24. Liverpool will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Baldwinsville (Baldwinsville, NY). The Trojans record now stands at 4-2.
With the loss, Athens drops to 4-4 on the season. The Wildcats host Northeast Bradford (Rome, PA) to meet the Panthers in a PIAA District IV-A test on Tuesday, September 26. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 2-2.
