September 23, 2023: New Brighton, MN 55112 The Southwest Christian Stars soccer team scored 6 points and limited the host Irondale Knights to 1 in the Stars non-league victory on Saturday.
Next, the Stars face the Mound-Westonka White Hawks (Mound, MN) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 28. Southwest Christian will attempt to better on its 10-0 season record. The White Hawks enter the contest with a 1-7 record after their 2-2 non-league Rockford (Rockford, MN).
The Knights now have a 3-8 record. They take the field next when they host Mounds View for a Class AA Section 5 contest on Tuesday, September 26. Irondale will face a Mustangs team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, MN). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-4.
