Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Southern Columbia Area knocks off Towanda
September 23, 2023: Catawissa, PA 17820 Southern Columbia Area Tigers (Catawissa, PA) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Towanda Black Knights (Towanda, PA), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Tigers confront the Warrior Run Defenders (Turbotville, PA) in a Heartland II challenge, on Tuesday, September 26. Southern Columbia Area will attempt to move on its 7-3 season record. The Defenders enter the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 1-1 league Montoursville (Montoursville, PA).
The Black Knights now possess a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wellsboro for a North Tier challenge on Thursday, September 28. Towanda will confront a Hornets team coming off a 6-0 league win over Galeton (Galeton, PA). The Hornets record now stands at 8-2.
