In Saturday's non-league contest, the Gaston Day Spartans (Gastonia, NC) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Aiken Fighting Green Hornets (Aiken, SC), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Spartans battle the Science Hill Hilltoppers (Johnson City, TN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 23. Gaston Day will attempt to better on its 14-5 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the contest with a 23-9 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Mauldin (Mauldin, SC).
