Mississippi High School Softball - Benton Academy topped by Simpson Academy
September 23, 2024: Mendenhall, MS 39114 Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Benton Academy Raiders (Benton, MS), 11-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Simpson Academy upgrades its record to 21-5 on the year. The Cougars travel to Newton County Academy (Decatur, MS) to play the Generals in a non-league game on Tuesday, September 24. The Generals enter the game with a record of 0-3.
The Raiders now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Tri-County Academy for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 24. Benton Academy will play a Rebels squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Parklane Academy (McComb, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 18-10.
