New York High School Soccer - Schalmont knocks off La Salle Institute
September 23, 2025: Schenectady, NY 12306 The Schalmont Sabres soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting La Salle Institute Cadets to 0 in the Sabres league victory on Tuesday.
The Sabres now hold a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Maple Hill for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 25. Schalmont will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Ichabod Crane (Valatie, NY). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, La Salle Institute moves to 0-3 on the year. The Cadets host Troy (Troy, NY) to face the Flying Horses in a non-league game on Thursday, September 25. The Flying Horses enter the game with a record of 2-4. Troy lost 5-1 in their recent league game against Ichabod Crane (Valatie, NY)
