Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL), 2-0 in a league test.

With the win, Thornwood improves its record to 6-7 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to Thornton (Harvey, IL) to face the Wildcats in a Southland test on Thursday, September 25. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 5-7. Thornton won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Southland College Prep (Matteson, IL)

The Kays now own a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Momence for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 24. Kankakee will face a Momence Athletics squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL). The Momence Athletics record now stands at 4-12.
