September 24, 2021: Kirkland, WA 98033 In Friday's league game, the Bellevue Wolverines (Bellevue, WA) football team smashed the host Lake Washington Kangaroos (Kirkland, WA), by a final score of 49-7.
The Wolverines (4-0) will now prepare for their game against Mercer Island (Mercer Island, WA). The Islanders come into the 3A KingCo game with a 3-1 record. In their last game, Mercer Island overwhelmed Stadium (Tacoma, WA), 38-6, in a non-league game.
The Kangaroos now hold a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newport - Bellevue for a 3A KingCo game on Friday, October 1. Lake Washington will battle a Knights team coming off a 42-7 league loss to Juanita (Kirkland, WA). The Knights record now stands at 1-3.
