The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) and the host Lincoln Lions (Lincoln, RI), observed Mt. Hope's football squad edge Lincoln by a count of 22-20.

The Huskies now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Westerly for a Division II-B contest on Friday, October 1. Mt. Hope will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 50-12 non-league win over Rogers (Newport, RI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-1.

Coming up next, the Lions play the Moses Brown Quakers (Providence, RI) in a Division II-A contest, on Saturday, October 2. Lincoln will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Quakers go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 20-13 non-league win over Classical (Providence, RI).
