The Sardis Lions football team (Boaz, AL), was ripped 40-0 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Southside Panthers (Gadsden, AL)

The Panthers (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Springville (Springville, AL). The Tigers come into the 6A Region 7 challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Springville trounced Fultondale (Birmingham, AL), 42-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Guntersville for a 5A Region 7 challenge on Friday, October 1. Sardis will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 43-21 non-league win over Madison County (Gurley, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-1.
