Georgia High School Softball - Mt. Zion bounces Riverdale
September 24, 2022: Jonesboro, GA 30236 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Mt. Zion Bulldogs (Jonesboro, GA) and the visiting Riverdale Raiders (Riverdale, GA), witnessed Mt. Zion's softball squad tip Riverdale by a count of 9-4.
The Bulldogs now sport a 1-11 record. They play next when they travel to Luella for a 4A Region 5 match on Tuesday, September 27. Mt. Zion will meet a Lions squad coming off a 15-2 league win over McDonough (McDonough, GA). The Lions record now stands at 5-7.
With the loss, Riverdale moves to 1-14 on the season. The Raiders travel to Trinity Christian (Sharpsburg, GA) to meet the Lions in a 4A Region 4 match on Tuesday, September 27. The Lions go into the match with a record of 11-9. Trinity Christian lost 4-3 in their recent non-league match against Strong Rock Christian (Locust Grove, GA)
