The Yutan-Mead Patriots routed the visiting Syracuse Rockets softball squad by a final score of 11-0 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Patriots (21-1) will now prepare for their battle against Fort Calhoun (Fort Calhoun, NE). The Pioneers go into the non-league battle with a 7-8 record. In their last battle, Fort Calhoun topped Arlington (Arlington, NE), 10-4, in a league battle.

The Rockets now possess a 5-17 record. They play next when they travel to Falls City for a C District 1 battle on Monday, September 26. Syracuse will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 6-3 league loss to Auburn (Auburn, NE). The Tigers record now stands at 11-10.
