In Saturday's non-league contest, the Sun Valley Vanguards (Aston, PA) volleyball squad were winner over the host Penncrest Lions (Media, PA), by a margin of 3-1.

Next up, the Vanguards battle the Downingtown West Whippets (Downingtown, PA) in a Ches-Mont contest, on Tuesday, September 27. Sun Valley will attempt to better on its 10-2 season record. The Whippets go into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Downingtown East (Exton, PA).

With the loss, Penncrest moves to 3-3 on the year. The Lions travel to Strath Haven (Wallingford, PA) to battle the Panthers in a Central contest on Wednesday, September 28.
