Oregon High School Soccer - North Valley nudges Illinois Valley
September 24, 2024: Grants Pass, OR 97526 Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the North Valley Knights (Grants Pass, OR) and the visiting Illinois Valley Cougars (Cave Junction, OR), saw North Valley's soccer squad hold off Illinois Valley by a count of 1-0.
The Knights (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Cascade Christian (Medford, OR). The Challengers enter the 3A/2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Cascade Christian tipped Rogue River (Rogue River, OR), 3-1, in a league battle.
Next up, the Cougars confront the Lost River Raiders (Merrill, OR) in a 3A/2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 battle, on Thursday, September 26. Illinois Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Raiders enter the battle with a 3-2 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Tulelake (Tulelake, CA).
