Mississippi High School Softball - Newton County Academy topped by Simpson Academy
September 24, 2024: Decatur, MS 39327 Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS) supporters left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Newton County Academy Generals (Decatur, MS), 11-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Simpson Academy improves its record to 22-5 on the year. The Cougars travel to Starkville Academy (Starkville, MS) to play the Volunteers in a non-league game on Saturday, September 28. The Volunteers enter the game with a record of 4-2. Starkville Academy won 15-0 in their recent non-league game against Central Holmes Christian (Lexington, MS)
The Generals now hold a 0-4 record.
