Norfolk Panthers (Norfolk, NE) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting McCook Bison (McCook, NE), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 19-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pius X for a A District challenge on Monday, September 27. Norfolk will face a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 9-5 non-league loss to Marian (Omaha, NE). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 13-16.

With the loss, McCook falls to 6-18 on the campaign. The Bison host Minden (Minden, NE) to face the Whippets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 28. The Whippets enter the challenge with a record of 8-17. Minden lost 6-0 in their recent league challenge against Southern Valley/Alma (Oxford, NE)
