September 25, 2023: Rutherfordton, NC 28139 The crowd at Monday's league test between the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) and the host R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), saw East Rutherford's soccer squad knock off R-S Central by a count of 3-1.
The Cavaliers now hold a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Polk County for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A test on Wednesday, September 27. East Rutherford will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 9-0 league win over Chase (Forest City, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 5-4.
With the loss, R-S Central drops to 1-6 on the season. The Hilltoppers travel to Chase (Forest City, NC) to meet the Trojans in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A test on Monday, October 2. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 0-10. Chase lost 7-0 in their recent league test against Patton (Morganton, NC)
