Maine High School Soccer - Hampden nudges Hermon
September 25, 2023: Hampden, ME 04444 Hampden Broncos (Hampden, ME) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Hermon Hawks (Hermon, ME), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Broncos confront the Skowhegan River Hawks (Skowhegan, ME) in a Class A - North challenge, on Tuesday, September 26. Hampden will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The River Hawks enter the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 1-1 league Messalonskee (Oakland, ME).
The Hawks now have a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ellsworth for a Class B - North challenge on Wednesday, September 27. Hermon will confront a Eagles team coming off a 2-1 league loss to John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 5-2.
