New York High School Soccer - Watervliet knocks off Lansingburgh
September 25, 2023: Troy, NY 12182 Watervliet Cannoneers (Watervliet, NY) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Lansingburgh Knights (Troy, NY), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Cannoneers face the Germantown Clippers (Germantown, NY) in a Patroon challenge, on Wednesday, September 27. Watervliet will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record. The Clippers enter the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 6-1 league loss to Hudson (Hudson, NY).
The Knights now have a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they host Albany Academy for Boys for a Colonial Council challenge on Tuesday, September 26. Lansingburgh will face a Cadets team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Ichabod Crane (Valatie, NY). The Cadets record now stands at 5-3.
