The Wheeler County Bulldogs routed the visiting McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers softball squad by a final score of 11-0 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Bulldogs (13-7) will now prepare for their bout against Treutlen (Soperton, GA). The Vikings go into the 1A D-II Region 4 bout with a 0-8 record. In their last bout, Treutlen was routed by Montgomery County (Mt. Vernon, GA), 10-0, in a non-league bout.
The Buccaneers now possess a 3-14 record. They play next when they host Emanuel County Institute for a 1A D-II Region 3 bout on Tuesday, September 26. McIntosh County Academy will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 13-2 league win over Portal (Portal, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-11.
