The Reed-Custer Comets volleyball team (Braidwood, IL), was edged 2-1 in Monday's non-league challenge with the host Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL)

The Indians (8-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Rantoul (Rantoul, IL). The Eagles come into the Illini Prairie challenge with a 7-13 record. In their last challenge, Rantoul was edged by Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Comets encounter the Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL) in a Illinois Central Eight challenge, on Tuesday, September 26. Reed-Custer will attempt to move on its 10-11 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 16-3 record after their 2-1 league win over Streator (Streator, IL).
