September 25, 2024: Jesup, GA 31545 The Jeff Davis Yellowjackets softball team scored 2 runs and held the host Wayne County Yellow Jackets to 0 in the Yellowjackets non-league win on Wednesday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thomasville for a 1A D-I Region 1 battle on Tuesday, October 1. Jeff Davis will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 12-9 league win over Brantley County (Nahunta, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-9.
With the loss, Wayne County moves to 16-7 on the season. The Yellow jackets host Ware County (Waycross, GA) to confront the Gators in a 4A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, October 1. The Gators come into the battle with a record of 3-11.
