The Halifax County Comets football squad scored 40 points and limited the visiting Tunstall Trojans to 16 in the Comets non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Comets now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mecklenburg County for a non-league test on Thursday, October 2. Halifax County will meet a Phoenix squad coming off a 9-6 non-league win over Bassett (Bassett, VA). The Phoenix record now stands at 1-0.
