Glenelg Gladiators (Glenelg, MD) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball team overcome the visiting Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Gladiators (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Atholton (Columbia, MD). The Raiders come into the Class 3A South Region I challenge with a 6-3 record.

Next, the Lightning play the Guilford Park Panther (Jessup, MD) in a Class 3A South Region I challenge, on Monday, September 29. Long Reach will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Panther come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 3-0 league loss to Howard (Ellicott City, MD).
