September 26, 2022: Matthews, NC 28105 Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) backers exited the stadium content Monday as they saw their volleyball squad notch a victory over the visiting Charlotte Catholic Cougars (Charlotte, NC), 2-0 in a non-league outing.
With the win, Covenant Day betters its record to 9-1 on the year. The Lions travel to Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC) to face the Hawks in a non-league outing on Wednesday, September 28. The Hawks go into the outing with a record of 3-4. Charlotte Latin lost 2-0 in their recent league outing against Cannon (Concord, NC)
The Cougars now sport a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Rocky River for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 29. Charlotte Catholic will face a CMS Athletics squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The CMS Athletics record now stands at 7-5.
