In Monday's non-league contest, the Herscher Tigers (Herscher, IL) volleyball squad knocked off the host Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Tigers battle the Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) in a Illinois Central Eight contest, on Tuesday, September 27. Herscher will attempt to better on its 7-13 season record. The Comets come into the contest with a 10-12 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Pontiac (Pontiac, IL).

With the loss, Clifton Central drops to 7-13 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Gardner-South Wilmington (Gardner, IL) to battle the Panthers in a River Valley contest on Thursday, September 29. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 6-15.
