September 26, 2023: Bassfield, MS 39421 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Jefferson Davis County Jaguars (Bassfield, MS) and the visiting McLaurin Tigers (Florence, MS), saw Jefferson Davis County's volleyball squad beat McLaurin by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Jefferson Davis County upgrades its record to 11-4 on the year. The Jaguars travel to Magee (Magee, MS) to play the Trojans in a Class 3 Region 6 bout on Thursday, September 28. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Magee lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Lawrence County (Monticello, MS)
The Tigers now own a 8-10 record. They play next when they travel to Seminary for a Class 3 Region 6 bout on Thursday, September 28. McLaurin will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Crystal Springs (Crystal Springs, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-9.
