The Ponderosa Mustangs walloped the visiting Chaparral Wolverines football team by a score of 48-7 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Dakota Ridge Eagles (Littleton, CO) in a 4A South Metro challenge, on Friday, October 4. Ponderosa will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 31-13 non-league win over Cherokee Trail (Aurora, CO).

The Wolverines (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Regis Jesuit (Aurora, CO). The Raiders go into the 5A Southern challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Regis Jesuit bounced Mullen (Denver, CO), 23-12, in a non-league challenge.
