New Jersey High School Soccer - Newark Collegiate Academy knocks off Weequahic
September 26, 2024: Newark, NJ 07103 Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Newark Collegiate Academy Panthers (Newark, NJ) and the visiting Weequahic Indians (Newark, NJ), saw Newark Collegiate Academy's soccer squad triumph over Weequahic by a count of 11-0.
The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Shabazz (Newark, NJ). The Bulldogs enter the Super Essex - Independence battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Shabazz was overwhelmed by Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ), 2-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Indians confront the Payne Tech Lions (Newark, NJ) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 30. Weequahic will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 2-5 record after their 6-2 non-league loss to West Caldwell Tech (West Caldwell, NJ).
