The Central Catholic Fighting Irish football squad scored 35 points and limited the host River Rouge Panthers to 13 in the Fighting Irish non-league triumph on Friday.

In their next game, the Fighting Irish face the St. John's Jesuit Titans (Toledo, OH) in a Catholic - Central test, on Friday, October 3. Central Catholic will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Titans come into the test with a 4-2 record after their 24-17 league win over Brother Rice (Bloomfield Hills, MI).

With the defeat, River Rouge drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to De La Salle Collegiate (Warren, MI) to meet the Pilots in a non-league test on Friday, October 3.
