Pennsylvania High School Football - Sto-Rox thwarted by Charleroi
September 26, 2025: Charleroi, PA 15022 Charleroi Cougars (Charleroi, PA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football squad top the visiting Sto-Rox Vikings (McKees Rocks, PA), 45-26 in a league test.
The Cougars now hold a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ligonier Valley for a non-league test on Friday, October 3. Charleroi will meet a Rams squad coming off a 62-14 league loss to South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA). The Rams record now stands at 0-6.
With the defeat, Sto-Rox drops to 0-6 on the campaign. The Vikings host Seton LaSalle (Pittsburgh, PA) to meet the Rebels in a WPIAL AA Century test on Friday, October 3. The Rebels come into the test with a record of 5-1. Seton LaSalle won 41-14 in their recent league test against Waynesburg Central (Waynesburg, PA)
