Georgia High School Football - South Effingham holds off Evans

September 26, 2025: Evans, GA 30809

The South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA) football tipped the host Evans Knights (Evans, GA), 14-10 in Friday's league outing.

The Mustangs now possess a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Greenbrier for a AAAAA Region 1 game on Friday, October 3. South Effingham will face a Wolfpack team coming off a 51-28 league loss to Bradwell Institute (Hinesville, GA). The Wolfpack record now stands at 1-4.

The Knights (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA). The Terrors enter the AAAAA Region 1 game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Glynn Academy was edged by Brunswick (Brunswick, GA), 41-37, in a league game.
