The Geneva Eagles football squad scored 49 points and limited the host John Paul II Guardians to 6 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Holy Cross for a TAPPS Division III District 3 test on Friday, October 3. Geneva will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 42-7 league win over New Braunfels Christian Academy (New Braunfels, TX). The Knights record now stands at 3-2.

With the defeat, John Paul II drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Guardians travel to Ben Bolt (Ben Bolt, TX) to face the Badgers in a non-league game on Friday, October 3. The Badgers enter the game with a record of 2-3. Ben Bolt won 18-6 in their recent non-league game against Pettus (Pettus, TX)
