In Friday's league battle, the visiting Hastings Saxons football team scored a nice 55-24 win over the Pennfield Panthers.

With the win, Hastings improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Saxons travel to Marshall (Marshall, MI) to play the Redhawks in a Interstate Eight battle on Friday, October 3. The Redhawks go into the battle with a record of 2-3. Marshall lost 30-26 in their recent league battle against Northwest (Jackson, MI)

The Panthers now have a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Coldwater for a Interstate Eight match on Friday, October 3. Pennfield will meet a Cardinals squad coming off a 28-21 league win over Western (Parma, MI). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-1.
