The Johnston Dragons (Johnston, IA) football trounced the host Lincoln Lynx (Council Bluffs, IA), 49-7 in Friday's league outing.

The Dragons now possess a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ankeny for a 5A Group 3 game on Friday, October 3. Johnston will face a Hawks team coming off a 26-20 league win over Sioux City East (Sioux City, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 4-1.

With the defeat, Lincoln drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Lynx travel to Ames (Ames, IA) to clash with the Little Cyclones in a 5A Group 3 outing on Friday, October 3. The Little Cyclones come into the outing with a record of 1-4. Ames won 20-14 in their recent league outing against Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA)
