The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Kemper County Wildcats (DeKalb, MS) and the host Northeast Lauderdale Trojans (Meridian, MS), witnessed Kemper County's football squad gain a win over Northeast Lauderdale by a final score of 38-21.

With the win, Kemper County advances its record to 1-4 on the season. The Wildcats travel to East Webster (Maben, MS) to encounter the Wolverines in a 2A Region 4 bout on Friday, October 3. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 4-1. East Webster won 43-23 in their recent non-league bout against Caledonia (Caledonia, MS)

The Trojans now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Newton County for a 4A Region 5 bout on Friday, October 3. Northeast Lauderdale will encounter a Cougars team coming off a 23-20 non-league loss to Mize (Mize, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 2-3.
