In Friday's non-league game, the Lampasas Badgers (Lampasas, TX) football team edged the visiting University Trojans (Waco, TX), by a tally of 35-28.

In their next game, the Badgers face the Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX) in a non-league game, on Thursday, October 2. Lampasas will attempt to better on its 5-0 season record. The Leopards enter the game with a 2-2 record after their 42-13 non-league win over C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX).

The Trojans (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Rudder (Bryan, TX). The Rangers enter the 5A-2 Region III District 10 game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Rudder held off Fort Bend Willowridge (Houston, TX), 24-21, in a non-league game.
