Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Lexington Golden Bears (Lexington, AL) and the host Wilson Warriors (Florence, AL), saw Lexington's football team triumph over Wilson by a final score of 56-20.

With the win, Lexington advances its record to 4-2 on the season. The Golden Bears host Winston County (Double Springs, AL) to encounter the Yellowjackets in a 2A Region 8 battle on Friday, October 3. The Yellowjackets go into the battle with a record of 3-3. Winston County won 22-0 in their recent non-league battle against Curry (Jasper, AL)

The Warriors now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Hempfield for a non-league battle on Friday, October 3. Wilson will confront a Black Knights squad coming off a 34-7 league win over Penn Manor (Millersville, PA). The Black Knights record now stands at 3-3.
