In Friday's league game, the Omaha Central Eagles (Omaha, NE) football squad tipped the host Omaha Westside Warriors (Omaha, NE), by a margin of 31-28.

The Eagles now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Creighton Prep for a A District 1 outing on Friday, October 3. Omaha Central will clash with a Junior Jays squad coming off a 21-10 league win over Papillion-LaVista (Papillion, NE). The Junior Jays record now stands at 5-0.

With the defeat, Omaha Westside drops to 4-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Fremont (Fremont, NE) to battle the Tigers in a A District 1 contest on Friday, October 3. The Tigers enter the contest with a record of 4-1. Fremont won 28-25 in their recent non-league contest against Burke (Omaha, NE)
