The St. James Wildcats football squad scored 54 points and limited the visiting Ponchatoula Green Wave to 0 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host St. Charles Catholic for a non-league test on Friday, October 3. St. James will face a Comets team coming off a 28-6 non-league win over De La Salle (New Orleans, LA). The Comets record now stands at 4-0.

The Green Wave (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Independence (Independence, LA). The Tigers enter the non-league game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Independence overwhelmed Albany (Albany, LA), 26-16, in a non-league game.
