The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) and the visiting Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC), saw Asheboro's volleyball squad beat Montgomery Central by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Asheboro upgrades its record to 2-11 on the year. The Blue Comets travel to Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC) to play the Grizzlies in a bout on Thursday, September 29. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 13-2. Oak Grove won 2-0 in their recent league test against Central Davidson (Lexington, NC)

The Timberwolves (4-8) will now prepare for their test against North Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Black Knights enter the non-league test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, North Davidson gained a win over Ledford (Thomasville, NC), 2-1, in a non-league test.
