The Montgomery Central Timberwolves volleyball team (Troy, NC), went down 3-1 in Tuesday's league challenge with the host Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC)

The Blue Comets (4-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC). The Grizzlies come into the Mid-Piedmont 3A challenge with a 8-7 record. In their last challenge, Oak Grove defeated Central Davidson (Lexington, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Timberwolves encounter the North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC) in a Mid-Piedmont 3A challenge, on Thursday, September 29. Montgomery Central will attempt to move on its 5-10 season record. The Black Knights come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 3-0 league loss to Ledford (Thomasville, NC).
