Georgia High School Softball - Lovejoy bounces Drew
September 27, 2023: Lovejoy, GA 30250 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Lovejoy Wildcats (Lovejoy, GA) and the visiting Drew (Riverdale, GA), witnessed Lovejoy's softball squad prevail over Drew by a count of 21-6.
The Wildcats now sport a 13-8 record. They play next when they host Forest Park for a 6A Region 3 match on Thursday, September 28. Lovejoy will face a Panthers squad coming off a 23-4 league loss to Jonesboro (Jonesboro, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 3-12.
With the loss, Drew moves to 0-17 on the season. The host Northgate (Newnan, GA) to face the Vikings in a 5A Region 3 match on Thursday, September 28. The Vikings go into the match with a record of 12-10. Northgate lost 6-0 in their recent non-league match against East Coweta (Sharpsburg, GA)
