New York High School Volleyball - St. Mary's over Our Lady of Mercy
September 27, 2023: Rochester, NY 14610 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the St. Mary's Gaels (Manhasset, NY) and the host Our Lady of Mercy Monarchs (Rochester, NY), saw St. Mary's's volleyball squad beat Our Lady of Mercy by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, St. Mary's upgrades its record to 2-1 on the year. The Gaels travel to Kellenberg Memorial (Uniondale, NY) to play the Firebirds in a Catholic bout on Tuesday, October 10. The Firebirds go into the bout with a record of 19-3.
The Monarchs now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Midlakes for a non-league bout on Friday, September 29. Our Lady of Mercy will play a Screaming Eagles squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Palmyra-Macedon (Palmyra, NY). The Screaming Eagles record now stands at 9-3.
